eduggs
The 12z ECM and 18z GFS (with support from the EPS/GEFS) show what we fear along the coastal plain. It's a classic cool/rain to cold/dry and then repeat scenario. That's not unexpected or unseasonable for this time of year. But it's been a nuisance for a few years now, including in the heart of winter. So it would be nice to get a complete breakdown of that repetitive sequence inside 7 days. We've had way way too much rain in recent winters. If a more favorable longwave pattern is always out beyond 10 days, it's just a tease. 1

powderfreak
Late afternoon, wintry vibe, getting dark fast. Crowds have left, being a Sunday in November. Folks have work and school on Monday. Key football games going on. Its been an odd mix of November feel, but midwinter vibes to start the season up north.

UnitedWx
We had several rounds of flurries in Westfield yesterday. I got to watch while repairing a bullshit "insulation" job under what used to be our front porch. SO much cold coming up through the floor already into the living room. Closed cell FTW

Not at all. The progression is still there on the MJO and the models . We should be in phase 8 by mid December. Also , the models keep showing warmth in the long range until it gets closer and it cools off.

Snowcrazed71
It like rinse and repeat with some of you guys. Pattern is changing,,, pattern is not changing... Winter is over... Winter is making a huge comeback.... Things will happen as they happen. If it doesn't, well then, everyone will still be back for next year ( I happen to think we will be in a much better place this year than last year, but time will tell ). It's all about being patient. Once things do break into a Wintry pattern, this will all be forgotten. Have faith guys and gals! 1
