I remember you, or somebody posting this before…curious, how do you winterize a tree?

He stopped winterizing it in winter 22-23 I think…it became too much with its size. I think the early Feb 23 cold shot did it in.

He boxed it in with a wooden frame…maybe some insulation? And I think he had Xmas lights inside to keep it warm.

Impressive.  22.8°F of fakeness this AM, just 3mi from the ocean.

Had 23° at 11 last evening with bright stars, figured 1st teens were a cinch, but that was the bottom - must've had clouds moving in shortly after.  Pure sun at the moment, a rare phenomenon in November.

I don’t want it in winter months such as November

Lmao November isn’t even close to a winter month, very much the middle of autumn, period.   So enjoy it. Looks pretty decent just after that time frame, so let’s see.

Since when does a winter month have climo highs 45-53 mid month throughout SNE?

A sobering statistic for Montreal from the Weather Network. As always ….

This is some very strange stats. Not sure you can draw any meaningful conclusion at all from that. At the very least you’d want to add non-snowy falls and what happened in the following winters. Otherwise all you can see is that 1980-2023 has had less snowy winters after a snowy fall - but could also be that all winters in the first stretch were snowy and none in the second were, aka - there is zero correlation between fall and winter
