Hank Scorpio
Vivid lightning and loud thunder with that cell that just moved through Loudoun. Sounded like a good old summertime thunderstorm

katabatic
0.77" for this event so far. Temps bouncing around the low 40s. Will be interesting to see if any of the upslope mixes in with a few flakes over the next day or two. 1

Terpeast
Wow, what a cell that came through. Driving rain, couldn’t see houses across the street, trees thrashing about. Better than most summer tstorms, and wild that its only 53 out. 1.62” so far

wxdude64
0.93" here, not a daily record, that still stands at 1.10" from 2020. Nice to see many areas finally getting a decent amount of water from the sky. Woke up around 4 am, might have been a clap of thunder?
EstorilM
PWS’s say 1.35” south of Leesburg, 1.25” near Middleburg. Didn’t most high-res models show 2-2.25? Don’t get me wrong, the rain is great - but it the models are (once again) off by this much, winter is going to be a huge PITA lol. It was about .90” till that last storm-wide band (NW to SE) came through a little while ago.

Kmlwx
Looking at guidance I think this is it once it's done. Save for maybe a few isolated showers. Not much I've seen has a late morning or afternoon line.
