Hardly any rain here…becoming very reminiscent of last summer and probably ‘23 as well.

Complete opposite here. I've probably had close to 2" and steadily pouring. It's been a swamp here all summer. I'd love a dry spell. Looks like chances of rain for the next week. That means nothing there and storms everyday here lol

Another nothing burger. Barely enough to wet the ground yesterday, and another disintegrating line moving this way. Still at 0.63" for the month, which fell 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

Do I care? Not really. Plants are ok, grass is mostly dead as usual, and I'm going to plant clover in a couple weeks.

Well, luck was needed, and it delivered.

Between yesterday's storms and this afternoon's storms, that were very impressive, a total of 2.52 inches.

Scanning nearby areas that are only a few miles away, Middletown, the actual town .86 , Townsend .32, Odessa .85

Was a game of just miles.

Various surf models with 5 to 10 foot waves on Thursday, as the peak day for swells from Erin. Stellar surfing day, but admit you got to be strong will to do so.

For today across all beaches a low risk of ripe tides.

For Saturday from Mount Holly

For Saturday, northeast winds will be around 10 mph with
breaking waves around 2 feet. There will be a light easterly
swell with a period of 4 to 5 seconds. As a result, there is a
LOW risk for the development of dangerous and life threatening
rip currents at the Jersey Shore and at Delaware Beaches on
Saturday.

Only 0.02 for the month to date.... following a big July..

Grass looks the best its looked in a couple months though, brown moldy spots disappearing...

Streams coming out of the southern National Park in both eastern Augusta and western Albemarle are running very low though - especially since its August and everything is still green/growing and using water...

For sure!  The CoCoRaHS observations for the last 30 days.  That's me with the 0.90" in Frederick.  Your area looks well watered :D

The humidity to rain ratio has been approaching infinity here lately.
