nw baltimore wx
A nice bonus moisture feed moving north just west of 95 from west of DC through central MD. I’m hoping it makes it up here overnight.

wxdude64
Ended up with 1.55" here. Not a record, that belongs to 1980's 1.75". Muggy/humid with patchy fog here this am. 66.7/66.

PrinceFrederickWx
Only 0.36" here in the last 24 hours, but my monthly total is now 5.09". A double-digit monthly total is definitely on the table- last time I had one of those was August 2020.
coolio
I logged just under 2" in my unscientific tall shot glass on my deck. Also, the ground was really dry as my sump pump was not running this am. Usually, this amount of precip makes it run for a while.
Rhino16
A quick rain shower over the northern neck. Maybe it will add half to 3/4 of an inch or so. It was coming down. Wonder if they’re using some CAPE from the bay to sustain themselves.
TheClimateChanger
Weird. 5th warmest June on record in West Virginia, Virginia, and Delaware. 4th warmest in Maryland. But only tied for 18th warmest at DC. Yeah, ok... but, I bet we'll still have people bellyaching (hallucinating?) about supposed urban heat islands and tarmac heat islands.

Some will say I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but if you look at all the surrounding sites, you'll see only 2010 was consistently warmer in recent years, with years like 1994 & 2024 comparable to this June, which jives with the official statewide rankings. If you looked at the DCA records, you'd think a whole slew of years in the 2010s were warmer - 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017... etc.? I mean 2014 - that was a relatively chilly summer? Not even close to 2025 anywhere else on the planet. What a joke.

I'd think that more cloud cover would reduce the UHI effect and maybe that helps normalize DC temps? Just a guess though.
frd
Small cell just passed over Middletown where I am and it is pouring. BlizzardNole
Partly sunny and 83 - turned into a nice afternoon for sitting out. Got just 0.2 total for the week (all yesterday), which amounts to about one twentieth of what the 7-day qpf forecast said a few days ago. frd
Appears the forecast for tomorrow has improved. Mount Holly NWS going with mostly sunny weather here and 89 with a light East wind. Would be a good day for lawn care and garden activities in the morning before hitting that high later in the afternoon. The next oppurtunity for mostly sunny weather is not until next Thursday, between those days expect additional rainfall.
87storms
Went to get a practice sesh in at a local court and ended up playing 1v1 and then a couple games of 2s. The ice water I drank when I got home was a religious experience. We are in the midst of one of the more powerhouse humidity-laden summers in recent memory, certainly since that 2017-2018 combo.

Paleocene Posted yesterday at 11:47 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:47 AM HRRR and NAM3K like a chance of spotty thundershowers later today, but only west of 95/270, mostly in outer NOVA. Rest of us may stay dry. I didn't think I'd be worried about my tomato and zucchini garden being too damp this time of year, but here we are

Hoping for a few drier days. On a side note, this HAS to be the best my grass has looked in 20 plus years for this time of summer.
