Hyde AND Elias need to go. Elias fell asleep at the wheel and did nothing the past year to improve the team in many areas. Meanwhile no one's listening to the skipper anymore. His young players have regressed. They've been in this Swoon since middle of last year. They need a new voice in the clubhouse and within management. I hope ownership does something soon.

Didn't think the Os would be this bad this year.

I thought they would be a fringe playoff team  but they look  like a 100 loss team easily

Has a team ever gone from a 100 loses to a 100 wins and back to 100 loses in the span of 4 years?

This is bizarre. As a long-time fan I'm conditioned to failure, but even for the O's this has been an epic collapse.

I thought they’d be a step back this year because of the pitching. But like a 80-85 win team. I figured they’d be scoring runs by the bucketful. I’m just stunned how bad the offense has been. Can not make it make sense.

Been this way for a full season going back to last year. Hyde has needed to go since the playoff debacle.

It might not make a difference, but at this point just make a change for changes sake. Maybe someone who thinks a bit out of the box, has a little energy. Hyde is a bore and completely predictable.

Bring Buck Britton up from norfolk. Long time with the organization. Managed all of these young guys. Time for a change. Then send Elias packing when the season is over.

He's already up here, actually  His position is simply "major league coach", but I'm guessing he's behind Chirinos...as when Hyde was ejected a couple weeks ago Chirinos moved to manager and Britton to bench coach.

Yeah he is 35 but doesnt look it and seems durable. That's probably why they were able to sign him to a relatively modest deal. If the rest of the rotation was intact his addition would have been much more impactful. Eflin is back- looks like he will start Sunday- and then we wait and see on Grayson(doesnt look promising) and the potential returns of Bradish and Wells sometime after the all star break. The offense must become more consistent for the team to tread water until then. They are at a critical point right now-need to stay inside of 10 under and work towards 500. Continue on this trajectory and they will be 20 under before you know it. That would pretty much be the writing on the wall.

Still headed the wrong way. Into the abyss. Zero signs of turning it around. FFS do something. Fire Hyde. The result might be just as bad, or worse, but I doubt it. Change is needed.

Not much of a hockey fan, but grew up going to the caps center so it’s kind of in my blood. With that said, the caps really got bodied by the hurricanes. Seems like they hit a slump at the wrong the time.

I'm not sure I'd call it a slump as much as a tough match up. The canes were favored in the series and have a great chance at winning the cup.

There forecheck is relentless and they just overwhelmed the caps. I thought Logan Thompson was awesome for the majority of the time and kept the games closer than what they actually were.
