I suspect Ineedsnow has undiagnosed ( or diagnosed ... either way) hypertension.   As soon as that corrects down with medication and/or lifestyle change, or a combination of both, he'll start getting rib chills and cold hands like the rest of normalcy. Such that these claimed sunny and 45 F "beautiful" days will epiphany the reality, this is piece of shit weather in May.   LOL.

ya same I didn't care if it was hot or cold when I was a kid.. now I just hate the heat.. My dad has a place on lake Lyster in Baldwin mills Quebec right on the United States Canadian Border.. usually to cool to swim though

Try swimming at the beaches in Maine when the cold water is in, your ankles hurt and cramp up, once you're in its not so bad when it's a hot day.

46° in Greenfield with steady light rain, but somewhat bright cloud deck.

If this were winter, the precip shield would be much farther west. I don't think WOR to the NY border would ever be porked with a low track like that.

Oh, OK. I wasn’t considering any of the dynamics of cold season verse warm season. Just looking at the radar shaking my head. Lol.

I remember seeing this and posting it last winter ... I'm wondering if we're still seeing some vestigial tendency to be strangely cold in the local space, comparatively

42.8F  Light rain.

On May 25 2012  I recorded 3.1" of thundersnow within about a 2 hour period.  I believe the temperature was 33F during that event.  That was the latest snow I have recorded.

We will not repeat that tonight but at my elevation of 1100 feet it will be interesting to see if I can manage some mangled flakes.  Any guesses?  What do you think Brian?
