Although the inner snow lover would love to see that happen.. 2" per hour for 1-3 hours across much of CT as heavy snow causes dynamical cooling. The massive snow squall warnings across PA are impressive, dynamics for the win?

ORH_wxman
Had some weenie flakes here about 15 min ago. Not sure what to expect here....not much accumulation is my thinking but we may get some aggregates at 34F later....might be just far enough west though for an inch or two. I'd bet winter hill in ORH grabs a couple though.

Yes seems the colder trends coincide with faster arrival of precip which doesn’t allow surface to warm as much. SPC mesoanalysis surface wet bulb is very cold still.
dryslot
3k and 12k Nam kicks it up a notch here with 3-5" as well as the 12z HRRR, Looks to intensify a little sooner which happens when these systems hit the atlantic, Typically DE Maine gets the jack. 3k 12k 12z HRRR

ORH_wxman
Latest HRRR actually gets snow pretty close to Boston late this afternoon.
CoastalWx
It's too bad this comes in so late. Would have probably been a little snow here near dawn. I don't expect much of anything near BOS. Maybe Blue hill gets a bit, but temps even near Tolland warm up. Will need to wetbulb. Should be nice NW CT into Dragon-land ORH county and up towards shallow grave world on NE to the chicken coops and beyond.

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Seems like the last event here of this memorable stretch. Not saying winter is over, just this 22 day run we’ve been on in WCT before the pack dwindles away.

I agree plus one burst of snow tomorrow AM then we should melt this 23 day pack away pretty easily.

This has been a great stretch, I have grass showing on my south facing hill, but a 7 inch glacier elsewhere. I radiate so well at night, any melting so far has just become a more solid block of ice. Should be a great mud season...

Sey-Mour Snow
35.6" this month would be nice to finish off at 40" somehow 5-10% chance at my elevation between today and tomorrows squall to get 40".
