OBS thread 2P Mar 3-10A Mar 4 (snow, possible sleet s fringe)

Recommended Posts

Wilton, CT

3", 32 and steady.  This is sticking to everything, including cable and power lines.  A little wind might actually help here to shake some snow off

Here it comes, enjoy the next hour or two, may be the best and final show of the winter

Well, it's starting to mix in a lot of places...

Non-event in Chelsea so far. Slushy coating on cold surfaces, nothing on roads or sidewalks. Radar looks great and flake size has increased but still no increase in intensity here. Honestly the snow is closer to light than moderate right now, just as it's been for the entire storm.

Well for those places that do stay snow it may be a show especially just North of the mixing line wherever that sets up

If that doesn't change back we are not getting to 6.

This was unfortunately a very marginal storm, we're lucky to get anything at all.

It'll probably snow/sleet until the low moves further E/NE, I have like 3" so another 3 is doable.

Snow/sleet herw.  Mostly snow but still annoying.

Pretty sure it will get pushed back down to the south as it did further west as it tried pushing up

It's just a few sleet pellets mixed in at times. Not enough to knock down our accumulations much. The changeover line is still pretty far to the south. We're looking good for mostly snow here, with just a little sleet mixed in.

The banding down south in NJ is incredible. Hopefully that hits everyone.

It probably will hit LI but I don't think further west. Not sure what precip type it will be on LI

Overall underperforming here in Jericho northeast Nassau so far. Maybe 1.5” on unpaved surfaces and not a ton on the roads at all.

I estimate about 1-1.5” on UWS

Wrong. Spot I was eyeballing must be in a shadow. It was close to 2" in other measurements.

32/30.
