24 degrees and moderate snow.

Pretty nice temp gradient in just 80 miles between here and Blacksburg. Jives with the CC on RadarScope. Who said science isn’t cool.

lmao...my thoughts exactly. hasn't even rained here at all.....37 on my way to my 33 degree rain.....exciting stuff. Getting close to freezing near cornelia, clayton, etc though and  down to 32 in demorest. Looks like temps have dropped below freezing at  andrews pickens and long creek, both are at 31.

edit, cornelia has reached 32 now.

Yes sitting at 31.8 lol

Same progression here. Spotty sleet earlier, now just rain.

We’re in Asheville tonight just off I 26 on Brevard Road.  Currently 29 with rain, sleet and snow.  Had been going back and forth between sleet and rain for last couple of hours.  Noticing some accretion on the trees now.

Well, so much for the snow. Quick transition over to sleet and freezing rain. Sitting at 24.5 degrees. I'm in trouble.

dew point actually dropped a bit... now 35.3/28
calc web bulb is 32.69
Ha! Did I really write "web bulb"?

New update: 32.7/29 = 31.3 WB at 1029.2 mb. So,@Lookout was correct. My WB temp did get below freezing.

Light drizzle outside.

Yeah that’s gonna be a problem.

Thought rates could overcome sneaky warm layer but when Disc is reporting 24 and sleet/zr mix not gonna be good. Down to 28/27 and can hear heavy pingers hitting the window. Radar is juiced but it could get nasty here overnight.
