We're staying at the Mount Washington this weekend. Trying to hike Washington Friday/Saturday.  What will the cloud cover be like?

Pack expecting the worse. I've gotten caught up there without proper gear when the weather hasn't quite turned out as forecast.

Lol it's the same exaggerations season after season.

It will be warm for sure given the time of year.  But will it be "hot" like we've seen in recent months, probably not.

This time of year with the diminishing sunlight, it seems to pack less of a punch but really the dews will be what makes it seem like summer or not.  If the temp can't freefall after sundown due to high moisture levels, that's when it'll be noticeable.  But some 75-80F afternoons won't "feel" that hot given what we've seen in the past 30-60 days.

Exactly this!!  Very well put.  And 80 degrees in Early October happens all the time in SNE...not a big deal.  Won't last all that long either.  We've had quite a few cool days already this month, despite the monster heat.
