what about us in dxr?

Waterbury is the closest bufkit profile to us.

It is all going to come down to how quickly we see the WAA occur at the surface.  Models seem to want to hold onto the cold just above the sfc for as long as possible.  IMO this isn't a normal ZR setup with no high to the north, however, a snowpacked ground could compensate I guess.

CT River Valley (a.k.a. Death Valley) is still holding strong with the drain of cold air.  14 degrees presently with a due north wind 3-5 mph.

From NWS BOX 7:15pm discussion:

ONE THING TO HIGHLIGHT IS THE CT RIVER VALLEY. TEMPERATURES ARE

STILL IN THE TEENS ACROSS HARTFORD UP INTO ORANGE. THESE COLD

TEMPS WILL NOT BE WARMING UP ANYTIME SOON THANKS TO COLD AIR

DRAINAGE VIA THEIR NORTHERLY WIND COMPONET. SINCE THE WARM AIR

ALOFT WILL BE MOVING INTO THE PORTIONS OF CT WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR

OR TWO...WE COULD SEE SEVERAL HOURS OF MODERATE FREEZING RAIN.

FEEL THAT GUIDANCE IS TRYING TO SCOUR OUT SURFACE TEMPS A BIT TO

FAST FOR THE CT VALLEY SO FREEZING RAIN POTENTIAL COULD LAST

TOWARDS THE MORNING COMMUTE TOMORROW. ANTICIPATE ICING AMOUNTS

WILL REACH BETWEEN 0.1 TO 0.25 OF AN INCH.
