Watching the radar it looks like it will take 2-3 hours to get the real snow north of DC but its moving. Radar still looks fantastic.

KBWI low beam Radar shows the flurries in Hoco http://www.wunderground.com/weather-radar/united-states/md/baltimore-washington/bwi/

Sterling radar is filling fast http://www.wunderground.com/weather-radar/united-states/va/sterling/lwx/

Snow now and sticking near OCMD http://www.chart.state.md.us/video/video.php?feed=c1000a2d004700e700498436cf235d0a

Nothing falling yet in eastern HoCo, but I believe...I BELIEVE. Awesome job bringing this home R94. It's your world today--we're all just witnesses. ;-)

Radar still looks fantastic. There is going to be some heavy snow on the eastern shore this afternoon with some light to moderate for most west of the bay. maybe a few heavier cells here too. don't be shocked to see Salisbury over 3 and Easton and Cambridge over   1-2 http://www.wunderground.com/weather-radar/united-states/va/sterling/lwx/

Well then you clearly missed when he said maybe some decent snow showers into the metros with the highest chance for accumulating snow being east of the bay

No, I know what was said. It's obvious to me that Ravens is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and, I think, wants to contribute more frequently in model discussions and be taken seriously when he does. I just think that it would do anyone well to be careful with strong language that sounds like hype. It's why I asked for clarification of his expectations a day ago. After '8 runs in a row of a nw shift, some huge', I wasn't sure what he was expecting. The best example I can give is Justin Berk. I really like what I know of him, but I also know to take what he says with a grain of salt because his forecast often blurs with his love for snow.

But Ravens was right to keep following this system, especially since he's got an interest in OC.

I think we need a little more production before declaring a win, but kudos to Ravens for sticking with this. I hope he has 4:1 posts in here like I did for the first cartopper. One threat at a time.

My baseline per the thread title was flurries. Enough have seen that that I say it's a win.
