Just an unreal surge of warmth and moisture for this time of year. We are getting something similar to what the Midwest experienced in March 2012. Using actual for first 23 days and the GFSx for the remainder of month: (12.2x23) + (12.0x8) = 377 degree surplus or 377/31 = +12.2degs. for the month. I was under today's low so add another 5 degrees to surplus and month becomes +12.3degs. Still its going to be 70-72 under overcast skies in late December with dews in the mid to upper 60s. That's something we see on one of those muggy, cloudy summer days.
