Scraff
Yes, I also think we need to institute the Columbia Death Band scenario. Think I see it on radar. . And look at all those yellows setting up in NoVa. Aimed where? Boom.

BlizzardNole
Rain/Sleet and 32 in Spotsylvania....enjoy the Snow Should be getting close -- my parents just reported a flip to snow/sleet mix a few minutes ago in Calvert. Hopefully southern areas stay in the snow well into the evening. I want every location at 6"-plus.
mattie g
It has been snowing for two hours, and we have about an inch. Hope the mid-day rates are legit. If not, there's going to be a lot of compaction. Rates haven't been that impressive here yet. Either way, it's better than the last storm so far. mitchnick
I still like my forecast of 5-8", but I think lower end more probable than higher end. Just not a long enough storm... I know the computers have decent stuff ending by 4PM, but the fetch of moisture, its trajectory, and the radar returns to our west and SW have me thinking an upside bust is possible, and if not a bust on the upside, more higher end numbers than lower end

RDM
sn+ now. The bands come in with a nice shot of wind to make things interesting. Was shoveling a bit to test the weight and a gust brought with it a clear plus up from sn to sn+ Now we just need it to slow down some. Northern edge of the slug fest in KY is drying out faster than the overall system is moving (yes, I am being greedy!). Some really intense stuff down in eastern KY and TN entering southern WVA. Much darker blue than what we're getting around here atm
