dsaur
Maybe some of my 37 degrees will slide your way! Wow, Rosie, keeping it cool Hope you pull some in up there. I've been out working in the yard, sweating, and hot, and that's not a good thing before a snow...except perhaps in Ga. where that's almost the norm for snow, lol. Always on the edge. Thrasher Fan
One of the more wild events I can remember. HRRR simulated radar brings mositure from all directions and converages then exapands over N GA.
LithiaWx
Hit 52.2 F at 3:28 PM. Still.... well, see below. You are roughly 35 miles due west from me Marietta 42.9 on my gauge right now.. Crazy to see a 9 degree difference in that distance.
dsaur
It's crazy. What made me go look was the wind chimes in the back yard going nuts. Winds gusting from NNW to 25mph. Temp now 38.5 and still falling quickly. I love weather. That's what the rest of us need, keep the funnel open, please Spring day down here. But that's the way it works. Some model is going to be right, mostly, and I wouldn't argue against the cold ones, because I've seen it happen before, if the cold wants in bad enough. BullCityWx
The RGEM was a little more bullish than I thought after looking at the real maps. If BUFKIT is right, you have to wonder if that changes the deal for Thursday.
packbacker
If BUFKIT is right, you have to wonder if that changes the deal for Thursday. It wasn't NAM'ish but 1-2"...which was an increase from it's previous runs. Edit: Not done on the RGEM. will post updated snow map in a min Edit2: Looks like I may owe an apology to the NAM's. Holy crap - 8-9mm of snow on the RGEM for tomorrow, that's 3-4" of snow.
Stormsfury
Dorchester 2, 4, and Berkeley County schools all closed tomorrow for the freezing rain. Temps are now free falling across the area and quick too. Stiff NNE wind. Also the ZR advisory was extended to 5 pm tomorrow.
burrel2
18z GFS just dropped a bomb on North Georgia!!! Much wetter in the upstate as well. I'm thinking I might squeeze a few inches out of this. If we do manage some accumulating snow, it will definitely help ground temperatures for the Wednesday night deal. Edit: the 18z GFS has a jackpot of around .75 liquid over North Georgia!!!

That seems weird.

ILMRoss
New Hanover and Brunswick county schools have been cancelled for tomorrow. We are truly breathing rarified air, for once the two most southern counties in the state are cancelling school while everyone else stays open and not the other way around.
