Its currently 19F, six degrees below the forecasted low for tonight. This air mass is colder than modeled. It's just radiational cooling. It's 25 at PVC. Our neighborhood beaver pond might be ready Friday. Went out tonight and was over 2" clear black ice already. Edit: this is in no way an endorsement of the integrity of the ice on your local pond. Anyways the 00z EURO shows our clipper then another storm out to sea a day later, I think its having trouble with which disturbance to rely on right now and there is a band of snow off the South Coast of MA, RI and CT heading my way. Surprised no one's ventured any posts into the Sat/Sun thread. Must be too depressing. I think the EC was west and warmer, but I'm on 24-hour intervals so I really can't judge.
