Couldnt quite hit 7 inches before changeover. 6.9 inches of snow. Now all sleet. That is a nasty slug of rain on the radar down south. When that gets here tonight we are going to have one hell of a icy mess on our hands. Shoveled a little over 4 inches earlier. I am am going to leave the other 3 inches on the driveway hoping that it will be easier to remove it tomorrow.

Good job by the HRRR essentially nailing it starting at the 8AM run.

My gut was right after all, I got a half inch of sleet/snow.

One thing I have learned about some of these model runs very close to the event, is that although the model run may not be showing what you wanted (more snow), that does not necessarily mean that you should throw the run out.

The really good news for my backyard, is that I should see a minimal amount of freezing rain for the rest of the event. Already I have very light freezing drizzle. The temp is rising too. I have 28 degrees. With any luck I can get an east wind off the bay, temps to 33, and plain regular rain all night while everyone up north and in the mountains enjoys an inch of ice.
