:snowman: there have been a couple of snow showers moving through the last 45 min or so. its cold as all get out at 23 and winds gusting over 30 mph

awesome you finally get some snow. Thats some wind!

I think I may have saw a few flakes with the returns in Richland county

I'm watching the echoes skip over me and flare up a little to my southeast.

snowing in king, nc now.

Plowable? :snowing:

Wow wish all yall could be here at my house! I have whiteout conditions and the wind is howling and my temp is down to 14.9 degree and also we have roughly 2-3 inches of snow on the ground!

sounds awesome. Whats your elevation?

It was the band that just came through Yancey Co. We just got hammered the past hour with some of the heaviest flow snow I've ever seen!! Dropped well over an inch. I'll go measure at halftime.

Btw, 9.9 degress and the wind is still crankin'.

Joe, you live in Burnsville, right? I've got inlaws that live up on Old Mine Fork Road just north of Burnsville. NW facing slope. I'd love to be there right about now!

Well so far I have cold, wind, & a big can of fail! Just a light dusting so far in Weaverville. No snow for the past 30 min. In GSPs 7:00 pm update they say the bulk of the moisture would be over by 10:00 pm. Pinning my hopes on a overnight surprise.

I was hoping you got some of that band. After looking at radar, two feeders are splitting Madison and northern Buncombe. Maybe that'll shift here before long.

Wow. Mine Fork is the next ridge over from me. I live in northern Yancey , about 6 miles from the TN line. I bet they got thumped with the same band that came through here. They do well in upslope events.

If they've been here a while I bet I know them !

Is he related to nada? :P:lol:

I'm now at 40 and the wind is still kicking :)

1st cousin. LOL.

half inch at the house! 1st accumulation of the season.

Snowmaking update: 6" in the center, 4" elsewhere (20' x 40')

I took your advise on the snow making equipment. Will attempt to fire mine up for the first time tomorrow night. :weenie::snowing:

i am trying to temper some excitement looking at the radar, but it appears there are several pretty good bands of snow in ne ga, one headed directly towards mby  they rarely make it so i am a bit dubious LOL

I've got a bona fide dusting on the ground now so keep the faith.

Light snow and 25.5 IMBY. Official first "dusting" of the season.

Saw that on the radar & it really shows up good on the still that buckeyefan1 posted. Robert says don't give up hope yet. Sounds like you are nice & balmy up there.

Can't beleive the heavy radar return oveb MBY. Wind is gusting, but no sign of a flurry/flake. Still haven't seen a flake since last year.

I don't know where you guys are finding all these echoes. I had GRlevel3 running from RAL, GSP and FCX all evening and see and have seen nothing over our area.
