This sets a new record for the wettest July in recorded history in Chicago. The previous record was 9.56 inches in July of 1889. This also moves July 2011 up to the 7th wettest month ever in Chicago. 71 / 68 caught around 0.23 evaded the flooding just north and west. Clouds dividing NJ in half, should see breaks of sun and mainly dry today but still isolated to scattered storms as the cut off low spins above. More of the same tomorrow before clearing out Friday. The weekend is questionable with the weakness / trough and wouldnt rule out a more cloudy Sat / sunday. Moderation next week and overall warm - growing hot/humid 8/4 and beyond.

There are several large trees down near me including one completely blocking millbrook rd. Unfortunately last night did not come without loss of life, a tree fell on a house in wake county killing a man
