PIX11 predicting 1-2" of rain for the City and Long Island through tonight. That's an irresponsible forecast based on the models. Wouldn't be surprised if somebody ends up with 7" somewhere, with a widespread 3-4". Also: absolutely pouring in western Brooklyn. Probably already at 1.5"+.
-
Probably an inch combined between yesterday’s storm and last week’s storm here in Brooklyn. We could really use the rain.
-
Hardly any rain here today in the Financial District, although NWS just issued a special weather statement and flash flood warning. I’m not sure what they’re seeing on the radar but I’ll take their word for it.

12z GFS not backing off the heat for Thursday and Friday. 104 in Central Park for Thursday, with some 106 readings near Newark, and 105 in Central Park on Friday, with some 106 readings in northern Manhattan/Hudson County. At least humidity will be minimal.
-
It was the complete outlier for this past blizzard until a few days before. All hail the GFS!
-
5" in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Very fine snowflakes but coming down at a good clip.
-
Seems to be all sleet here now in western Brooklyn. Haven’t heard sleet like this a long time.
-
It was puking snow in western Brooklyn a few minutes ago. Now it's a mix of snow and sleet.
-
We are less than 36 hours from this event in NYC and the HRRR is showing over a foot of snow (with ratios) and NAM is showing nada. The 12z NAM will be very interesting.

Absolutely pouring in Astoria, Queens. Honestly haven't seen rain like this in a couple of years. Streets are flooding. -

99 degrees near LGA, but 27% humidity. It has definitely felt worse. -

Not sure what's going on in the Bronx/lower Westchester but absolutely crazy lightning show happening to my north/northeast (I'm in Astoria). -
Severe thunderstorm warning for the immediate NYC metro.
-
So did LGA not get a freeze? No signs of freeze damage around here.
