I was thinking about the exact precision I have missed storms this summer. Every direction , every surrounding town really. Union area up to Sturbridge multiple times, S and SE of here . Ginx to Se CT. Hartford got crushed Friday night, BDL all summer , all of western and SW CT and Springfield last night. And now Stein drops the Roman helmet to suffocate
CT Valley Snowman
I thought yesterday pretty much performed as expected. Slight risk over central and western areas where there were some warned cells and a few towns got hit hard while most of us did not. It's just not easy to get widespread severe around here. Most of the time, you just need to get lucky.

Most of the time, you just need to get lucky. I don’t expect to get much severe here. Not like NW / SW CT who are better positioned. But I do expect to get a few tstorms in an active summer. I mean when Groton to Cape Cod report severe and wind damage several times and I can’t even get a t shower ,it’s just bad luck i guess

Uneventful day for most but certainly not for all. Had a window seat at Red Rose on Main Street when it went though and posted about the hail. just about everone in the restaurant was looking out the windows when it was whipping, it was quite exciting for a minute or two, there was quite a bit of foliage flying around from the wind and hail. Had a few route detours due to downed trees and emergency vehicle calls we had to navigate on way back from dinner.
