Slept thru this miss. Lightning and thunder from the previous two misses woke me up. Was there much lightning with it?

Decent light show.

This can’t be good.

Westerly: the majority Westerly currently has no running water. The town made a post last night saying that water pressure was low due to ongoing drought conditions, but now many areas have no water at all. While there is no current restoration time, town officials are actively working to address the issue.

My younger daughter is staying with some friends at mansion on Webster Lake. She is terrified of thunderstorms. Looks like they got crushed last night with wind . Can’t wait to talk to her lol

My hometown, no reports of damage there; hope she’s enjoying it!

You have probably instilled all sorts of fear in her over any and all weather dangers.  :)

This month is going to be a scorcher. We'll get some breaks in the higher heat/humidity...I mean we're at the mid-latitudes so fronts will be coming through but those breaks will be brief. Looks like we could get at least one day of 90's towards the end of next week (maybe two), then a front goes through and we drop off again (still seasonably warm) and then could be looking at another push of high heat/humidity

Driving from Maine to Mattapoisett yesterday afternoon.....was 93 when I left Waterville.  100-103 from the Mass line to 195 where it quickly dipped to 94.  Got to Mattapoisett at about 5:30 and it was 87.

Today will be worse.  West wind is no bueno.

West wind is great news for those of us who will be on the other side of Buzzards  Bay.   :D

Maybe getting a shade cloth on the veggie garden will be worth it after all...been on the fence about it.
