Elsewhere in Nassau County looks like 97-100. Downslope dandy. High IMBY looks to be 95. Could have been near 100 or greater for most of the island if it wasn't for all the smoke. Low 80's on the north fork. High of 94 down to 92 with the smoke getting thicker. Shadows are gone, not too much smoke near the ground but it's definitely visible.

AQI is bad esp NYC and north. Unhealthy category from Lower Manhattan and north from there. dWave
This might be a first. A smoky strong t storm. Rain and gusty winds blasting the smoke smell into you. Does the rain help wash it away or just bring more down to the surface?

Picard
Completely smoked in here with zero sunlight, and the storms have moved on, so it's not that. I only picked up 0.01", they went around me. I did hear thunder. There are a couple of Air Quality Index (AQI) of 800-1000 in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I don't think it got that high in the 2023 smoke out. https://www.airnow.gov/national-maps/https://gispub.epa.gov/airnow/?monitors=ozonepm&xmin=-12204191.014333315&xmax=-7507899.996493336&ymin=4559496.5702827135&ymax=6460026.841564831
