My silk press reverted to an afro over the course of 2 hours outdoors. Lol. No sun. I was happy to get the Meyer lemon bush more time outside today though.

Difference between nova and cvill is astounding. Back in cvill the crickets are out and some trees/daffodils are blooming.

Haven’t even seen a daffodil bloom yet although some will likely in the next couple days. Trees have a LONG way to go. My non-native saucer magnolia, which always blooms absurdly early (and then the blooms often die when we get a freeze), still hasn’t even really started having the buds grow. Hoping it doesn’t get too far this week before we get some hard freezes again.

Today was the day my front yard was eliminated from the last snow pile in the neighborhood contest.  Next year I’ll make sure the snow plow leaves the snow on the shady side of my yard

First sunny morning since the cold spell ended in Mid February. Reminds me of California. Cloudy everyday until around 11.

We still have one. Although the kids yesterday in the neighborhood were doing their best to knock the crap out of it. 

Daffodils are getting there. Can see the flower heads starting to come out of the leaves. And wow what a change in my morning mood with the sun. 45 currently.

Here in UHI world I think we are a solid 14+ days behind where we have been in the past several winters. We have a lot of crocuses blooming in random sunny spots in parks; in past years, those bloomed as early as Feb 18th-24th.

I saw my first blooming crocuses yesterday.  Daffodils have been poking out for 2ish days but no blooms yet.

I went back through my last few years of pictures and you are right on.  The crocuses and daffodils are a good two weeks behind the warm years, as are our flowering trees.  The irises are a bit closer to normal.
