ORH_wxman Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Pretty damned impressive run of double digit pack though. One of these years we’ll get a March 2001 or 2018 or 2013 on top of this type of pack…but it wasn’t meant to be this year. Early March melt-outs suck…too early to really take advantage of it unless it’s barely any pack like 2012.

Typhoon Tip Posted yesterday at 03:07 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:07 PM Melt and mud season... Agreed. We lost something like 6" since yesterday just eye-balling. It'd say we have about 7 of granular corn snow left. It's possible we've eradicated enough snow in the next 48 hours to allow Tuesday to not be held down from that factor. No matter how big or hardy the pack seems, it doesn't take much for complete eradication in March

cleetussnow Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM I live in a hole - low sunlight hillside in a valley, facing north, and the snow is hanging tough, I’d say 85%. The Polar Pit. My temp sensor just emerged from the snow sometime last evening for the first time in a long time so I actually can see the temp. It’s 54 rn.
