I guess it depends when they measured, I work within walking distance to Sterling NWS/LWX and passed it this morning at 7am - I'd say closer to 1-1.5" but I guess that's kinda splitting hairs.

That SE MA/RI band is just insane. Multiple reports of 24” and I could see that band dumping another foot easy.

I got slices and chunks of white cheddar flying all over the place!!

4” snowboard and 5” zero sun areas.  It accumulated 1” in no sun spots before snowboard began accumulation .  Sister about 10 miles east of Salisbury has no power and tree down across driveway and another tree on a car.  60mph gusts there

Just use the "Divide GFS by ten rule" and it was pretty accurate.  I'll remember that one for the next storm.  I'm still waiting for the wind to pick up, maybe tonight lol?

I shoveled around 730 was already slush at the bottom. Got about 60% done and had to come inside for a meeting. Mr map went out not long ago to finish and took him no time. It’s melting haha

Well I got great news for you I’m absolutely 100% positively done with tracking snow for the mid Atlantic. I won’t be here anymore. Most of you are bullies and trash human beings anyway. (Limited exceptions aside) something I should have known decades ago.

It feels like the Euro and CMC were most right with the area of heaviest snow, but they were just too light on the totals within that area. Those models had the coastal Niña blizzard look. The GFS was first to lock onto the blizzard idea and had the right totals along the coast but was too bullish too far inland.

Iad has been failing on measurement for awhile. They just dont monitor enough.  I live right outside the gates.  It was almost. 3.5 inches on my snowboard

Sun is partially out. 35 deg. Anything that was on the non pavement surfaces is now gone. Wind is tossing anything that landed on trees all over the roads. Quite the time driving on Jefferson Pike and having flying powder balls hit your car. Am fine with nothing really. Just got my first Shingles shot yesterday and feeling it today. And with Mr. J having a Low pressure headache the driveway would have been left to itself.
