Surprised my street hasn’t caved. It’s been snowing steadily for 15 minutes or so. Not going to end up with the half inch to inch or so most models showed, but it’s definitely going to be a nice dusting.

These flakes remind of of Lake effect flakes. Perfect, beautiful, floating snowflakes. Now we just need it to ramp up to 6" per hour and stay that way all night. Sorry. Dreaming of my future home.

Reinforcements look to be headed our way with the front. Inasmuch as all that has fallen so far came from the same trajectory over the PA mts, I  would expect a decent % to make it over the mts especially considering the atmosphere is already saturated.

I edited it to slightly earlier time when I realized where you were asking for, the front has not yet passed Toronto but colder air is moving faster to west of Lake Ontario, going to say the front will be more of a rapid windshift and increasing wind speed feature as it rips through.

All that will be blown over to Kent island  if we get these crazy winds. 
I think once in 1994 chunks  like that got  blown into the channel by Harris Crab house and caused some  problems

About 3" here at Moseley, Va -southwestern Chesterfield County 23120! We are at about 11" for the season, not including the 3 inches of sleet and then freezing rain we got on that Monday a week and a half ago.

Pretty interesting that we haven't had a true clipper get across the mountains with this amount of moisture for a while now. Maybe some things are turning around!
