BWI snow depth is annoyingly missing for yesterday.  Columbia area generally is still snowcovered on balance.  Open sports fields, etc., mostly still have 1-2".

Hagerstown, MD had a week in January 1961 without snow cover.  Martinsburg, WV had 6 days, from 1/8 through 1/13 with bare ground.

Otherwise, snow was on the ground at both sites from 12/10 to 2/23.

That rain yesterday made a serious dent in the glacier cover here with a lot of grass showing. Even seeing parts of basketball courts now. Prob won’t be much left aside from mounds by the end of the week.

Fairly substantial freezing fog event taking place up here.    Roofs, trees, and the grass that has been exposed are all covered in white.  26 degrees.

Schools here on a two-hour delay for freezing fog and low visibility. Currently under 1/8 mile visibility.

2-3 depth in shaded undisturbed places. Down to grass in others, especially where the dogs have been. Pile at the end of the driveway is down to 3 feet tall instead of 4 haha

Foggy as heck here in the northern DC burbs. Strange to see the thick fog, that is such a usual feature of our warm wet Winters that we typically have. But it's been so dry. I feel like I haven't seen heavy fog since the fall. Still decent snow cover in my backyard which is pretty amazing for this area. 23+ days

Holy hell what a foggy drive in to downtown Baltimore.

Snowpack at the farm in Fallston similar to what mappy has in Parkton. Day 23 of at least one inch. Maybe the last day - I am guessing some will remain for tomorrow but we shall see.

Did your snow from 1/17-1/18 melt by 1/25? I still had snow on the ground before the snow/sleet

Yeah, that snow had melted just ahead of (the day before) the 1/25 event.

Yeah, I was a little bummed because of the ol' want to see "snow on snow" so didn't get that. Then we got the three plus week glacier so...I got over it! (lol)

Looks like some inversion tendencies coupled with snow melt and evaporation leading to higher concentrations of fine particulate matter during the mornings and early afternoons. Moderate levels expected, so nothing too crazy, but some localized maxima are certainly plausible in the AM.
