In my full shade areas the fluff powder underneath the Arctic ice cap is as dry and fluffy as when it fell. It’s 10 days later!!!

It seems like the forecasts have been uncharacteristically bad the last few weeks. High temps busting too high by 5 degrees almost daily, low temps even worse. Even the cloud cover forecasts have been off.

Even with 40 yesterday there was little melting. Too cold too long too much hard pack

Snow is turning soft in the sunny areas. This would be a good day to break it up and spread it out if you don't want it there.

Temp isn't really rising today.  My low this morning was 29 (after being at 30-31 most of the night) and we are only at 34 right now.

Apparently, the January 24-26 winter storm ranked as a Category 3 on the NESIS scale! That's probably due to how many areas it affected.

Ten days after and I drove past an open (no cover) golf course today, and it’s still 100% covered. That’s remarkable for the last 25 years, including some of the big blizzards.

I enjoyed this storm much more than the 2016 storm that melted 2 days later. I like winter, not just snow falling. This has been epic. I absolutely love this pack. I've hiked over 40 miles on it. 

Clouding up and 35. Hardly a drip and no damage to the pack.

Cracked freezing today for the first time in 13 days altho not by much (hi was 34). I must say it feels like it's about 60 out lol. Amazing how the body adjusts to temps.

Today is not the day to stand near a slanted roof.  I saw a major avalanche from my classroom window.

Wouldn’t call it a glacier anymore texture-wise but I would still call it 100% coverage even in Downtown DC

Still very glaciery up here. Yesterdays couple hours above freezing didn’t do much hahaha

36.3 for my high

6.0-6.5” depth on the snow board/other areas around the property. Only lost about 2.5-3” of depth since the event.

31.4° after a high of 35.3° in Havre de Grace.

Nice day. 38.6 for the high (surprised it didn’t go higher). All the ice on the creek has melted except for further inland coves.

10pm 27.7

Still have 5.5-6.5” everywhere, down 1.5 from peak 7-8 after compaction from 9” storm.  The snow on the bottom is still as light and fluffy as the moment it fell.
