MN Transplant
The ~2" of sleet that I just shoveled was heavier than the 5" of snow that I did this morning. It makes sense water content-wise, but it is still wild. 18.0 degrees and rising slowly.

"Moderate to occasionally heavy sleet continues across the area as we trudge through midafternoon. Many places have picked up 1 to 3 inches of sleet since the changeover this morning. That much sleet could have been about 3 to 9 inches of snow." Don't worry CWG did for you already 1
Bob Chill
The lull has been sleet mist accumulating like snow lol. Cleared the sleet cake off my deck an hour ago and there's a quarter to half inch of dust already covering it. What a wild storm. Temp up to 21 and final round approaching. Hope it's sleet
LeesburgWx
The enclosure to my chicken and duck run has collapsed from the weight of the sleet due to a tarp I had on a portion of it. Like metal bars snapped. Wtf 1

wxdude64
I am back to a snizzle here. Looking at radar, I may get a 30-45 minute pause before getting into the next round. Temp has popped up to warmest in last 24 hours at 16.1/13.0 at 3:15 pm. NWS lowered my forecasted 27 high at 7 am to 22 at noon and I likely won't make that either.

WxUSAF
8.4" official spotter report. Cleared off the sleet board. Still getting a lot of very small needles with the sleet. Very cool storm unless you realize how much snow we'd be getting if this wasn't sleet... 5

Once it’s does it will feel like concrete and weigh as much for sure. I guess it depends on where you live on when the change happens. Already have light freezing rain. I have a 2 stage 30" wide snowblower. I bought before the 2010 snow storms, while living in Severn MD. I kept it and brought it to Delaware in 2012. Used it multiple times since moving here. I thank you for your concern.

Snowciopathic Snow Bro
Good lord that's quite the warm punch into WV. Mountain areas are well into the warm layer aloft. Used to seeing those thermal profiles reversed between the coastal plain and mountains.

This system is absolutely juiced. Those storms down in AL/GA are serious, flow off the Gulf is still ripping.
