Does anyone know the best (aka most plowed) way to get into those areas? I have a 2011 Honda CRV which has good all wheel drive but low clearance (7in) so I probably shouldn't try driving it on 10 inches of fresh snow. 48 out to Davis will be passable. You won't hit any snow at all until you make the final climb up the plateau around Bismark. You'll only be driving through maybe 15 - 20 miles of snow to Blackwater. The trucks do an OK job plowing. The worst part will be the roads inside the park.

Dolly Sods is a really rough and slow ride up, and I did it in the early Summer in a Jeep.. You might want to reconsider that one. I would stick to the valley and the Canaan Valley resort area. Plenty of good hiking around there. eta- You could hike up but I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't experienced. I cant imagine any access roads via vehicle are open in winter.
