Dr. No awaits

To be fair the EPS has actually been pretty close to the GFS idea last 2 runs down in SC/GA.  So its been on the train the most in prior model cycles of this at least being far enough west and organized down that way to be a factor up in SNE

Just wait until the Euro takes a dump on our face at 12z and watch the vibe change quickly again.

Or better yet, joins the party, only to lose it at 18z...but in all seriousness, can we just lay down a solid pack region wide before the cold sets in?

Have two threads going for this one and people posting in both? So which one is it?

The other thread is a clown thread. Someone can maybe start a real one for this threat if it gets more support.

I am going to be more interested in hoe euro looks with the H5 evolution moreso than what it does at the sfc with SLP development. Just want to see some ticks in this regard (H5) towards the GFS. But the euro really isn't far off so it's very plausible.

As the GFS was out to Sunday I was wondering if that energy diving down the Plains was going to end up screwing things up but ultimately it ended up feeding into our vort and helping to go boom.

If you can time it right, a “kicker” shortwave can partially phase with the main shortwave where the main kind of swings around the kicker…they are both using the same longer wave trough. That’s kind of what happens on the GFS

Just get rid of it then, Make things simpler, It was labeled the 15th originally then he changed to the 19th, Keep kicking the can until a date works i guess.

What a nuke. Too bad it’s the gfs. It did this with the Friday potential too.

Even to an amateur it’s pretty easy to see how thread the needle this is. Couple of small changes and this is right back out to sea.

Probably going to see some wild run to run swings. Ultimately, I’d expect very little. Too many moving parts. Good luck getting that to verify

Was gonna joke the UKIE would get cold feet and move the other way.  Seems to always begin waffling once inside like 108.  I have also said before the last 10 years whatever the UKIE does the Euro does the reverse so watch the Euro have it raining on the Cape now.

My expectation for the Euro is that it gets better but not enough to give meaningful snow to anyone….but enough to keep us interested.

They almost always follow each other over the years. Typically whatever Ukie does , Euro follows in various degrees

Seemed to work til 2014-2015.  Since then much less so.  I think after the Euro upgrade in that period the rule kind of went out the window.

They had the nicknames Crazy Uncle and Dr No for a reason.
