Right? Hopefully we can have a nice mid winter run for once. Not complaining though, despite the overall lack of snow, it has felt like winter for a change. Now lets gets some bigger systems and actually get an average winter for a change

On the other hand, if this pattern coming up is nothing more than another tease, I am ok with a really early spring....just got my first seed catalog in the mail and the boys start indoor baseball this weekend, so I could go either way.

That and probably genetics.  You have at least some longevity in your bloodline.  I attribute my own good fortune to pure luck. No one in my bloodline has made it out of their 70s.

I wish it wasn't happening. I'd give anything to see winter flounder return to the numbers we had in the late 70s and 80s. As someone who has salt water fished the past 40 plus years so much points to warming waters.  If we had consistently colder winters the codfish would have a better chance of producing conditions which would aid in maximizing spawning recruitment which at least might combat some of the overfishing problems and maybe it wouldn't have had to be closed.

Just woke up and we're in a precipitation lull.   Radar history suggests we were snow the whole time.....but I don't know if that's accurate.

My parents made it all the way to 61 and 63.  Just luck of the drawn--not life style stuff.  I have several older siblings who have made it passed the 63 barrier, so I have hope.  In any case, I'm looking forward to being permanently retired--you never know how much time you'll have left.
