Still snowing despite the radar looking weak; the short range models also don't show much after 2 am, so I might actually get some sleep. Not sure we'll make 2.0". I measured 1.6" here. The snow on the back end of this storm prevented it from being a complete disaster, but still a pretty big bust. I thought we'd get at least 4 from this event. Pretty bad that it's a mighty struggle just to get to 2. I see the backbuilding on radar, but it's only very light snow. Definitely time for sleep. CPcantmeasuresnow
The Central Park 1am measurement of 2.3 inches appears in line with the surrounding area for a change. Maybe enough people complained, however from experience, it rarely lasts.
eduggs
Radar returns have moved east of Morris County, but it's still snowing steadily. Looks a bit like an inverted trof. I suspect it's low level stuff below the radar beam. Let's keep it going a few more hours!

Eduardo
Still snowing steadily at my parents’ house in Lindenhurst (SW Suffolk). This latest band has delivered nicely. About 5.5 inches on the ground now.
CPcantmeasuresnow
5.2 inches as of 1:30 in Highland Mills, Orange County NY, 16.8 inches for the season. Light snow and 20.1°. Maybe we can still eke out 6 inches by morning.

Krs4Lfe
Looks like snow is winding down here in Bayside. Definitely in between 3.5 and 4”, a general 2-4” across the city. Maybe Central Park comes in closer to 3” at 7 am

RU848789
Just finished shoveling and it looks like the storm is done, so unless something happens overnight, my final measurement is 1.8", as we got about 0.1" the last hour. Not as bad as it was looking at 10 pm, but still a pretty significant bust when we were under a winter storm warning for 4-7", my hourly forecast gave me 5.7" this morning, and the average model snowfall was about 5.5" (over 10 models) - and my prediction was 6.1" (oof). Of course it's way better than the rain and 60F it was looking like 10 days ago, but still disappointing. Pretty snowfall, though, and loved having temps in the 20s for most of it. Feels like winter. Brings me to a healthy 9.6" for December, my most since we got 10.3" in Dec 2017.
