As of 7 am we're up to 4.4" otg and it's still 32F. Saw a report on Channel 7 of 4.8" from Metuchen - sounds a tad high to me, but it's possible. 5-6" looks likely now as I think we'll get another 1-1.5". Stunningly beautiful out there - about to go for a drive, just because.

That report tracks. Easily between 4-5" right now in Somerset and still coming down nicely. 6" is more probable.

Much wetter snow than I expected

Around 3” with light snow falling.

For about 3.5” here in Bayside. Always one of the colder and elevated spots in the boroughs. Hopefully we can get another inch or two before this thing pulls out in a few hours. Any reports from Central Park ? Whatever hasn’t fallen by 7 will be measured at 1 and will likely compact

Time Square webcam looks like nothing sticked. Bryant park looks like a dusting. But seems a solid 3 has fallen based on radar and reports.

I have to head into the city around 1030 am or so. No Uber confirmed yet from Verona NJ.

You mean nothing stuck on treated asphalt and concrete traversed by thousands of people, with hot steam, hot water, and subways flowing underneath that? Color me shocked. Good thing they dont measure there. Lol

I have seen it where it looks snow covered , I thought with these rates and the temps it would have looked remotely white.

times square could look like no snow on the ground but other places in the city could be snow covered due to less traffic less road salt and plowing.

Not surprised at all. It struggles to stick there even when its cold. At these temps no way, unless you get under some extreme rates.  Manhattan micronets are 33 - 36 degrees currently.

S winds ahead of any kind of storm ruin it right on the coast/city in December. We still have some time to go but this goes to show you. Gorgeous wet/pasty snow here though.

Yeah its not a huge amount of snow but its so wet and pasty it looks like winter wonderland if you are in a park or lightly traveled residential street. Turn the corner onto a busier street and it suddenly just pockets of slush. Still snowing now though.

1.7” so far at LGA.

Does anyone else have any other reports from NYC? Seems like most places are reaching 3-4” right now. But I doubt if LGA doesn’t hit 4, Central Park certainly won’t either

Very nice. There were hints of an over performer last night. From Sussex into Orange looks like a general 4-7” with no advisory for Orange lol

Hi Res models have been hitting on the potential with this system for west of the city for a couple of days now.  HRRR, RRFS, and RAP in particular were aggressive with this system.  Overperformer for those areas.
