Although less on the street. This was a wet event and would have done way better with a bit colder temps. But still amazing. Its still been almost 10 years here since a 6 inch + snowstorm. Scraff
Currently 29. About 1.5 measured here. Definitely was expecting a bit more, but @WxUSAFalready noted what happened in our neck of the woods. Either way, works for me! Looks beautiful out there.

dailylurker
It's been a beautiful morning here in the lowlands. I started my hike in the dark at about 6. It looks like about 2". I appreciate every flake, but honestly this makes me crave a real all day snowstorm. I'd love for it to snow all day lol

As @wxmeddler often says, measuring snow depth is tricky. New York mesonet has a great Read Me file on the trials and tribulations of this process: https://www.nysmesonet.org/documents/NYSM_Readme_Snow.pdf

And I wonder if those stations account for settling/compaction. I just measure what's there- what's otg at the time, not what's fallen. They definitely got some of the yellow bands that missed me. 3 miles away can make a difference with banding. eta- LOL I see now- 32.13. A bit of a malfunction. Actual depth there is 1.7" which seems about right.

Would go tomorrow but I’m taking someone from a warm climate for the first time and tomorrow isn’t the day for intro to West Virginia skiing with a high in the teens and winds up to 35 mph.

osfan24
3 inches here, though maybe a tiny bit of compaction. Only about an inch on paved surfaces. Somewhat disappointing given what models were spitting out and considering it seemed like I got an early start to the snow last night. I just don’t think I ever got into the great rates and temps were generally somewhat of an issue for almost everyone. Guessing my ratio wasn’t great. The early band was just barely NW of me and I was between bands whenever I fell asleep. Very annoyed I slept through the thundersnow. Looks super pretty out there, though. Great overall start to winter 5rough first half of December.
