They did not treat the roads, so I drove us through the snow. Already had 1” on the ground and the roads were completely covered, and was coming down at a moderate clip. Everything was white. But we made it, and so did the surgeon.

As soon as the WWA was cancelled over Loudoun county, that band came up and just sat over us.

returns this weekend before a strong cold front tracks across
the region Sunday evening. Canadian high pressure builds in
early next week before another clipper-like system nears the
area by the middle of next week.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
Steady light snow continues as of mid morning along and south of
a line from roughly Franklin WV to Baltimore MD. Brief moderate
snow was being observed upstream over eastern KY into southern
WV. This area will pivot east-northeast with not much northward
progress to where snow is being observed currently. As forcing
wanes, snow will taper to flurries and end between 10AM-2PM

Don’t know how much at home but squinting through my Ring doorbell cam suggests front yard is mostly covered. That’s why you mow the grass short before winter, people!

Got 1.25” on my flat metallic table on my balcony. Hardly a non-exposed location though so am probably gonna defer to DCA or spotters. Didn’t really think we’d get to 1” though, so that’s awesome!

Lol, 20 minutes west of you my kid in Silver Spring looked out at the same amount of snow and was crushed that moco didn't delay. He still immediately went outside and ate some fresh powder (his favorite)
