Snow line at 2200’-2300’?  That’s what it looked like driving up to Costco.

That photo is 1,300ft or so.

I noticed the snow line on Mansfield’s east side seemed lower than it was through the Winooski Valley and west slopes.  Robbins Mountain is 2,000ft and saw no traces of snow visible.  Stowe had snow down below the 1500ft base area.

Also went to Costco too….

Well people that don’t care about their lawn and landscaping it’s not a problem. But for the vast majority that do .. it’s a major issue

Lolol... And that's coming from a guy who wants damaging winds to take down wires and trees for days and days.

It is insane to go there on a weekend. I’m not sure what I was thinking. I guessed the elevation based on a lack of snow anywhere here 1500’ and up.

Everyone is say how warm it is but it feels close to normal for today’s high of 56.  Currently 49.

Yeah it's been pretty normal. October in Boston was 1.6 above average but after the first week we never hit 70 again.

The first hour was picking up all the limbs and sticks that blew down last night . Then blow. Then tractor for stragglers .

That’s the plan tomorrow. blow ‘‘em into a few piles, suck ‘‘em up with the cyclone rake, then mow the rest of the lawn with the cyclone rake in tow. 2 2 acre yards should be done in <6 hours if all goes well. maybe find Time for a couple cold beers

Getting some flurries at home.  First flakes.  Had some graupel this afternoon but these are actual snowflakes.

We had some fatties in the early afternoon and some flurries tonight. Gotta go up towards the cog base station for any accumulation though

How good is the cyclone rake? Every year I say I’m going to get something to deal with these leaves and I don’t.

My parents had one…works fine.

I just mow short and mulch them in though. Glad we don’t live in suburbia.

I leave a good amount behind. Some of that is by choice—it’s been great for summertime biodiversity in my backyard. I mulch as much as I can but full leaves work too if I put them near my tree line.

Some of that is because the trees drop at different times and I don’t have the time or will to get back there several times in November.

It’s beautiful in October, but a pain in November.
