yeah it starts out warm core but then transitions quickly. probably why nhc doesn't have a little lemon but then again they do for that feature near the Azores and gave it an Invest

Because all hell would break loose doing anything close to classifying a system tropical near the east coast.

Their ideas are so wishy washy on how they classify stuff… it’s pathetic.

sometimes the consistency is a bit bizarre

I tend to be a NHC defender on how they classify things, but the last couple of years have been rough for a few NS they’ve either designated or missed.

The 2021 October one, which was later called Subtropical Storm Wanda, was pretty wild. Unnamed and hurricane force gusts on the Cape lol.

That was pretty much a cat 1 south of BOS.

Ryan says it’s pretty nasty….so is it nasty back this way, and not so much out east where you are on that GFS run?  Trying to figure out where you two are differing on that run?

I just thought it looked funky with the winds and precip. It was pretty nasty here, but nothing insane or anything.

Euro sucks. I hope it's just another erratic run.

This isn’t that far out…here we go again with the Eurp all over the map run to run.  It never use to do that in its hay day. Euro Was the one that sniffed out Sandy a full week ahead of time... while GFS had no clue.

Euro is just another model now. Has been for years as you know.

Also, hope all is well man. Good to have you back.
