Nothing like the previous event but def caught me off guard for a bit! Enjoy all the early colors everyone else to the north. Ok, now all is good... wxeyeNH
83.2F today! Foliage update: We had pretty good color coming on before our big rain event the other day. Now for whatever reason the colors are very muted. We drove up to Franconia Notch and there was not much color until we got into the Lincoln/ North Woodstock area. Once in the notch, it seemed to be around peak. Not vibrant colors but definitely pretty darn good. There was very little traffic and the parking lots at Cannon did have cars but not near full. It was a spectacular day. Of course, by Columbus Day weekend when the crowds arrive there will mostly just be sticks. Here is a picture from my phone without any post-processing.
CoastalWx
I was up in the Conway/Fryeburg area today and there were definitely areas of great color. But also saw muted colors from the drought too.

Typhoon Tip
Keep in mind… We’re getting towards the time of the year where above normal may not necessarily be “warm” in the sensible weather. This relativity is especially true when you get towards Halloween. As an aside, the first week of October may have some exceptionally anomalies, but we’ll see… Also +.01 is above normal That chart doesn’t mean you’re gonna roast because it’s extra dark red 4 2

powderfreak
The last 9 days of minimum temperatures: 39, 32, 30, 38, 60, 56, 60, 62, 58. Quite the whip-lash from crisp and frosty nights, to windows open all night. Don't need heat or AC though. 4

That lower sun angle parboiled me as I drove to BGR and back, especially the return trip at 2:30-4 PM. The car's failed A/C added to the oppressive effect, even with temps near 80 rather than 90s.
