It doesn't look like a total wash out. Some towns may end up slipping through gaps in a couple line of showers/thunder, while other's get a couple doses.   But not like raining all the time.  I guess play it by ear

Thanks Tip.

i mean, I could really use the rain. Sitting at just over 1/2" here MTD. the summer fronts tend to split not long before they get here, so it is usually not very rainy. glad to hear that this is a frontal passage, not a synoptic rain event.

Oh, ha... well, in that case - any given location could get lucky with a training axis.

This does look a bit like it could be a slow evolving scenario so convection might orient into favored bands, along which there can be decent totals.   In between? not so much.

Great day to put a saw into a tree loaded with poison ivy...

Risks of chainsawing poison ivy.
Airborne urushiol:

The saw's blades can create a fine mist or "poisonous flying sawdust" coated in urushiol oil.

Weirdly poison ivy has absolutely no effect on me. I can clear acres with my bare hands and not having it itch.

That tree actually had none or very little. What you see is wild grape and porcelain berry.

What's the link to that again?

The GFS solution is a warm core

There's been a strong ensemble (EPS) signal for some type of low to develop off the coast this weekend. I have zero interest right now given the possibility that this just trends to some strung out mess that gets ejected OTS, but if there were a way to get some tropical or hybrid up this way (or at least rain), this could work. We meh for now.

I’m going to pretend it’s a cat 1 hurricane so I can trick myself into enjoying it

When I was a little kid I remember shuffling the water around in the bathtub to simulate a boat in the middle of a raging storm. Needles to say, big momma was never pleased afterwards.
