A perfect 4th is anything without rain where you can be outside doing things.

As long as the temps aren't heat-stroke threats.  59 years ago the 4th was a Monday and the 3-day period below shows the NYC-area highs:
NYC:  100, 103, 98
EWR:  102, 105, 100
LGA:   101, 107,  99
Dews were about 70 so no TD records, just head-cracking heat.

That weekend is seared in both of our brains.  1966 and 1975 were all timers particularly since there was less widespread ac.  1995 and more recent hundreds were dramatic but ac was more widespread especially post 2000.

It’s not the Blue anymore . Currently not open . Apparently under new ownership. They tried calling it The Lions Den but got sued

I know a couple mutual fund wholesalers who are going to be very disappointed.

What a phenomenal evening

Yeah. Some great dews this evening.

The forecast area will also reside in a very muggy warm sector tonight with dew points getting into the lower 70s before the passage of the cold front.

Congrats on clearing out mid afternoon. Sounds like an epic day.

Better late than never!

I always enjoy these type of days, it’s crazy how it can be so cloudy/cool/drizzle then several hours later hot and humid. I was outside with the dog right as the crap was clearing out and feel the change in real time

We didn't ask about men's night at the Electric Blue.

Had to fill in for Runaway since he's only an occasional visitor these days. Improper...

Thanks for keeping the humid humpers in check. Nothing to discuss in the summeh unless a tropical churns in the gulf of Mexico.
