Sorry to hear that. We rib you, but we know how much you care for those dogs.

I took a peek at the hickory the other day and couldn’t believe how much it grew in the past few weeks despite the shat weather. I’ll get a pic for you in a bit.

Sorry, I feel I am to blame.  At least I didn't say "just wait til you get snow in June"

Just got back from a dreary walk down the street and it’s pretty bad in places. At the bottom, part of our neighbors drive away is washed away and there is a pile of asphalt and rocks where it once existed. Along that same driveway, part of the side of the lawn has been literally carved away from the runoff. We’re fortunate enough to live in high part of town but others are clearly not as lucky. It’s just amazing what fast, running water can do to solid objects including mounds of pollen, which have just about all been disposed of! Can’t believe it’s still raining out, 5” and counting..

Jack will be probably somewhere in SE MA near CF. They will get smoked and are getting smoked.

So Scott, did it rain so hard in Weymouth like that time when you lived in Dorchester you were concerned about house flooding?

Just under 5” here eyeballing. Wonder if that’s even low with the wind.

Thundered until 1a. Streets are a mess with lots of leaves and twigs down along with a few larger limbs. Dam good storm here. Looks like 6”+ to my south.

At least CoastalWx gets this consolation "prize!"  Very impressive event synoptically.  I'll post later on it in more details.

Actual numbers

ORH 43R
CON 47R
BOS 48
PVD 48TR
BDL 49TR
PWM 49
BTV 53

As bad as that 43° was at ORH they pulled a b2b 41° and 42° 5/25-26 in 1967.

That May 1967 event was epic.  10" of snow Monadnock regions.  MWN 24.9" for a record May snowfall.  Minor accums into central MA w/ the latest on record flakes in the air many locations, at least going back 60 years.  Winds gust as high as 90 mph on the coast and ACK had over 7" of rain.  May 1967 among the coldest Mays on record for the NE.  BOS was -7 F for the month.
