The small things in life mean a lot to me . It’s a lot of work each week .. already pruning shrubs etc. but it’s worth it Lawn looks great. Hydrangeas and peonies about to bloom here already. Everything probably about a week or two early here. And before anyone comments about fertilizer and pesticides my lawn is 100% organic. I use organic fertilizer made from waste distillery grains. Beer...

HimoorWx
Currently in the Yorkshire Dales in northern England and we just had 3 straight days of mid 70s and sun. Only mid 60s and sun today. Been in England for over a week now without a drop of rain and none in sight. Boy did I pack wrong!

"Homes across England in particular will be baking hot as the May sunshine cooks us in our well-insulated buildings built to withstand the cold British winters rather than 30C-plus summer sun for extended periods." They should have listened to Ditty. He tried to tell them.
CoastalWx
Gonna be interesting tomorrow from about LWM to HFD and points N and W. Can’t rule out a storm near and south of the pike, but could be a few nasty storms along frontal boundary. 3 1

BrianW
1 hour ago, klw said: Where do you get that fertilizer? Is is a local product? Purely Organics and yeah it's local as the bag says it's made in Portsmouth NH. I get it at my local garden center but I've seen it in some Home Depot's. The grains are probably from some brewery in the Portsmouth area as the bags say it's made from waste distillery grains. Even gives your lawn a hint of beer smell when you put it down. At least it's warm. Saturday's sort of transformed into a deep warm sector day as the week went on.

Typhoon Tip
these laboring warm frontal days are a paint drying slog. It's cutting across middle NJ but looking at hourly obs it appears to be moving north and will be up here mid afternoon, unless there's some sudden broader scaled mix out/leap in position which sometimes happens in these tuck regions E of the els.. I could see it being 62/57 murk at 2pm and agonizing ...then at 3:45 pm it's suddenly 77/65 as far N as ASH - Brian should be dammed and damned until tomorrow. If we can peel away more of the mid and high level gunk, then the sun may help to speed this up too. We're less than a week before the doorway into the solar max time of year. Long journey that seemed like a nightmare hallway stretching out of reach this time. I think I'm getting older. 1
