Power is back after an 8-hour outage here in North Salem. I measured exactly 5.0" before accumulation stopped around 1:30pm. It's been snowing lightly ever since, but melting on contact for the most part. It does appear that we are getting into some better snow growth now, so as we approach sunset I expect things to start whitening up again.

Might be some stuff that rotates down overnight depending on which model to believe.

I was wondering if we'll start generating growth in the boundary pause - start cooling the BL below the after storm inversion ... squeezing out street lamp pixie

That’s a big storm!  20” is no joke. Nice way to go out….on an otherwise lousy year.   And gorgeous house bro…love it!

We don't get many 20 inch storms although in 2017-2017,we got 26" and 22". That was a banner season at 132". Serious meat in the pack. 38" depth for awhileIMG_20170216_073449247.jpgIMG_20170213_193013163.jpg

Ya..wow, that’s a serious pack for sure! Looks like January 1996, and January 2011, and Feb13, and Feb 15 here.

1) where was this long duration storm last winter? Or last several winters?

2) it can stop snowing now. enough damage been give

And one more thing: I friggin hate these late season stat padders. this winter sucked donkey balls. But with these late season events, it makes it look more respectable. Do Not Want.
I was at like 38” 3 weeks ago, all of a sudden I’m in the 50’s. This is bullshit

Well ... one way we could look at it is that it's not technically padding jack shit.

This is spring.  Not winter.

heh  prolly doesn't offer much solace or consolation.
