Thanks! Always interested in micro climate effects. One of the more fascinating aspects of meteorology to me, how from location to location the "climate" can vary from the regional climate.

It’s pretty rare for NYC to have their first 80° day before Newark. But the lack of leaves on the trees to block the ASOS coupled with the bay breeze at Newark allowed them to do it. It’s also rare this time of year for NYC to beat Newark by 3°.

Spent Sunday and Monday upstate NY and Vermont, watching eclipse. Different world up there. Still snow on the ground in many areas and very little if any in the way of spring foliage. In the higher elevations going from Plattsburgh to Newport Vt. some areas had, what looked to be, about a foot of snow on the ground.
