Wow dramatic end to Tito Puento Jr free concert in New Rochelle. Crazy winds, damaged stage tree branches pelting ppl, mini stampede. Possible injuries it appears.

Some pretty good velocities with the line as it went through there. May clip the very north end of Suffolk-Caumsett State Park. The part that’s warned is over the sound.

We need our severe events to come from the NW. When they come from the W they die out. The Ambrose Jet is already established so tons of marine layer. Hopefully I get a quick thundershower like the other night. Some rain would be helpful since we’re going back to a dry pattern.

I take that back, Severe T-storm warning up now. Although yeah 90% of the time, our best severe storms always coming from NNW, or last summer we had a supercell develop along the sea breeze boundary so i guess that can happen too

I’m not seeing anything like the past few days on the models. Maybe I’m blind but I see average to just below with some low dew days and some tropical dew days. But I am seeing more drier days than we have had. I don’t want to rush the pattern to autumn yet and want to enjoy some more summer. Each season for its own.

Yep, maybe the warm waters we have now aren’t the kiss of death anymore.
