Probably the temps resume fall in tandem with the sloping afternoon. This is like the very first "sun bust" ... however slight Absolutely. Temperature in downtown Greenfield actually jumped up 2° the past hour. As silly as it sounds, I was on the south side of the Brewery building, which is an old brick factory building and sheltered from the wind. I could actually feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the sun warming the bricks.

mahk_webstah
dropped earlier this morn then level for a couple hours...now dropping quickly again. When is the secondary front that gives the next push down? Closest below 0 I see is Gene's area near Plymouth.

ORH_wxman
We briefly dipped below 16F about 30 min ago but now rotting at 17F....it's almost like when the wind isn't howling in with the CAA, we managed to tick up a bit but when we get the next burst of huge gusts/CAA, it drops a degree or two. Yeah nothing terribly impressive, at least down here, but the guidance is unanimous that the big cold sweeps in later this afternoon and evening. That’s the critical period for determining whether this brief blast is run of the mill or high end in parts of SNE. We know it’ll produce in NNE. Between now and 00z, 925 temps go from like -17C to -26C or -27C...you don't get that kind of drop without a big response at the sfc in this mixed environment.

wxeyeNH
Noon it is -1.2F Very meh. I was hoping for a -4 to -6F by this time. The sun is doing it's job. Solar noon is exactly at noon today so from this point on the temp should start to fall more rapidly
