I’m just bitter that it hasn’t rained here in three weeks and this radar depiction amounted to crud. I’ll probably flood tomorrow.

I feel your pain brother, TRUST me! And to miss on the opposite side of the must sting...I felt that, lol

2.35"

Tomorrow is supposed have the much higher chance for heavy rain here. Might have to root for failure now.

Had another round behind the main event. Total of 2.76".

After getting next to nothing over a 2+ week span with multiple high probability chances for significant rain, this happens on a day where the forecast called for a 30% chance of a tenth or less lol.

Lots of trees down in my hood this morning. 20 min drive and saw 4-5 houses damaged, branches all the vet the place and tons to f leaves and sticks. One of the worst wind storms in many years.

Always interesting to check the rain gage after what appeared to be heavy rain for several hours only to see a number lower than you thought or expected. Yesterday poured for hours and ended up with .90 but it felt like much more.

I always find that kind of annoying, though there can always be a surprise in the other direction, as well.

We missed a lot of the action early on, but when it did rain it came down in buckets. Waiting for the local CoCoRaHs to update...

Damn - that's crazy.

We definitely had some decent wind (and pea-sized hail) when our first cell blew up almost overhead, but no damage.

That might have been the same one that got us.  It was just to my SW when it bubbled up and for a 15-20 min storm it was ridiculously strong with winds.

Beyond the moist and damp next 4-5 days, models have been teasing a respectable FROPA late next week for a September preview. Euro seems least enthused, but has hinted at it periodically. But EPS and GEFS both show a trough swing through.

Lost an oak tree last night. Snapped off a couple feet from the ground. The wind was probably 40 mph at most, so it had some issue. I already have 2 stacks of wood that are seasoned and need to be split. Plenty of firewood for the next couple years.

Nice surprise yesterday.  Warned, no legit severe.  Lots of CG and a very nice soaking the veggies thoroughly enjoyed.  Irrigation system bypass switch engaged!  Nearly 1 inch for the day.  Legit August weather has arrived.  But the boot is coming in the form of over two less minutes of daylight with each day now.  Summer's Groundhog Day has passed.
